Mediation & Conflict Training

Interlock engages significantly trained and experienced Nationally Accredited Mediators who have access to our workplace psychologists, where appropriate to meet your needs. Our Mediators comply with the National Rules and Standards for conducting workplace mediations.  Mediation empowers employees to identify and resolve their issues, and create options for resolution into the future.

In our experience, using untrained or internal facilitators tends to exacerbate the dispute and at worst place your employees in what they perceive as an unsafe environment potentially breaching Workplace Health and Safety requirements.

Workplace Investigations

At times, workplaces may have cause to engage an external provider to investigate serious allegations that amount to a breach of your own workplace policies and procedures or your external obligations for example:Bullying allegations; and / or Breaches of the Anti-Discrimination Act.  At Interlock we have the capacity to undertake independent workplace investigations into those allegations. A workplace investigation will:

1. Identify the allegations to be investigated;

2. Investigate each allegation; and

3. Make findings: to dismiss the complaints based on the evidence OR that the complaints are unsubstantiated due to a lack of evidence OR that the complaints are substantiated.

After the investigation has been completed you will then need to obtain independent specialist industrial advice about what further action is warranted. This is required as it may be perceived as a conflict of interest if the investigator also determines the actions that follow.
