Manager Support

Support and development for managers

If your organisation has an Employee Assistance Program with Interlock and you are involved in managing people (for example as a team leader, supervisor, project manager), you can take advantage of a range of support services for your own personal development and to help with handling demanding interpersonal work challenges.

Dependent on your organisation’s particular contract with Interlock, these services may be free (to a pre-set limit) or available at reasonable additional fees.  Please speak to your program coordinator or phone (07) 3831 5355 for more information.

Manager referrals

When an employee’s behaviour or an interpersonal difficulty is not easily resolved by a manager, you can refer the case to Interlock.  Interlock then works with you and the staff member(s) to develop effective strategies to manage the issues.  Some of the situations where managers might use this include poor performance or productivity, inappropriate behaviour, absenteeism or lateness, substance misuse or interpersonal conflict.  How to refer an employee?
